IB PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAM PYP
Starting at 3.8 Years
Our Academy program is a fully enriched inquiry-based advanced program where students receive a rigorous academic advantage with the Ontario Ministry Curriculum Expectations. Students learn to read competently, write, learn grammar with formal instruction, develop penmanship formally, problem solve, explore science and their world around them.
Our Academy program is an alternative to the play based kindergarten curriculum.
Our students develop in language, cognitive, motor, social emotional development and self-regulation & independence.
Students thrive in our small environment where learning is centered on their needs to give them the best advantage for school.
Our class ratio is 1:10. Our objective is to prepare our students with a strong foundation for elementary education. Our students receive a varied well-rounded comprehensive curriculum that develops critical learning skills and habits. Students also learn important foundational skills that independent schools cultivate.
Our program is rich, well rounded, and respects learner interests. It is comprehensive and disciplined in a meaningful connected way that supports students in developing globally minded attitudes.
At Delano Academy, Kindergarten is a whole new experience. Balanced with strong academics, creative arts, skill building athletics, student wellness & strong IB character development.
Our program is unlike any other.
Inquiry begins in Kindergarten within the IB primary years framework.
