HIGH PERFORMANCE IB PROGRAM
Delano prepares students that are University-bound from the very beginning by arming our upper school learners with experiences, tools and equipment that sets the path for 21st-century learning.
Our upper school students are preparing and developing competencies that will challenge them for Senior School.
Students learn to balance and embrace stewardship, academics, athletics and student life.
21ST CENTURY READINESS
Students are challenged to be critical learners, consumers, decision-makers, and thinkers. These are fundamental upper school skills that students are encouraged to develop by graduation.
Upper School students are provided with tremendous support to develop self-esteem, confidence, independence, organization, self-control, and self-empowerment. We support our upper school learners with experiences they may not typically receive anywhere else.
Similar to our lower and middle school program, our upper school students receive the superior teacher to pupil ratio 14:1 that equips students for a lifetime of success.
Candidates and their parents are invited to tour our school and see why our Upper School stands out from any other school.

IB is the gold standard in education around the world. Students that graduate from the IB program outperform non-IB students in critical academic skills.
Delano Academy is currently in the candidacy phase* to offer the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) to 6th & 10th grade students.
The IB Middle Years Programme, provides a framework of academic challenge that encourages students to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world, and become critical and reflective thinkers.
I am going to miss this.
I am going to want this back.
I am going to wish these days hadn't gone by so fast.
